Hi @ll,

Is there a patch our a tool to fix this?

Greetings from Germany,

Example:

Hi ,

I am using OOB Nintex  "workflows I've Started" webpart in my sites.

It is configured for "Running"  workflows in webpart properties though it is showing "Canceled"  workflows item in it.

Above scenario is only with the Production sites, not with the our rest of the environment.

Would it be any particular setting am i missing anywhere ?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Can't edit or create Nintex WFs if list > list view threshold?

Is it a standard limitation of nintex that once you pass the list view threshold, you can no longer edit or create nintex workflows? I'm getting a value unexpected error when I try either; I've escalated to support and I was told to implement folders in my custom list to keep everything below the threshold (but folders in a custom list are quite terrible to work with...

Appreciate validation that this is a real limitation?

Removing users from AD groups

I'm trying to remove all members of a given AD group so I'm querying LDAP for the group members (the "member" property of the group) and I'm only getting back the first member. I've done extensive testing changing the group membership, etc and I'm definitely only getting 1 result returned. I've enabled paging but the same thing still happens. What am I missing?

Thanks.

Javascript reference

Is there a javascript reference for Nintex Forms. For example your ConditionalDisplayofControl.js file shows how to find the currently ticked field in a set of radio buttons and also mentions: "NWF.Utilities.RepositionAndResizeOtherControls". I can also see that you post individual snippets in response to specific questions.  Is there documentation on other Utilities and how to get as well as set other control types?

Need to handle the multiple request from nintex workflow to sharepoint list update

We are using the infopath 2010 browser enabled form and nintex 2010 . We are using nintex workflows for updating the item in the sharepoint list from infopath .

Some times multiple users submitting the infopath form and starting workflows at the same time and trying to update the item in the sharepoint list at the same time and workflow's got errored. Since multiple workflows are trying to update the same item in the particular row.

Is there any way we can restirct the update the sharepoint list item one by one. Or any other way we can check whether that item is locked for that update and able to add the wait until item get updated.

Is there a workflow action that can revert a previous workflow ?

Hi there,

I am implementing a solution via NW2010 and Sharepoint.

At a particular point the user can choose to 'return' the 'ticket' in which case I want to revert back to all previous values (created by a seperate workflow on another list).  At the moment I am just using an Update item action and manually reverting back however this is not foolproof in that its just using the current workflow user details to set the 'Admin' role and the return 'may' be actioned by another Admin.

Hope this makes sense?!?

Nintex Form 2010 - Required field validation

Hi,

I have designed a Nintex form for my SharePoint list. I need to mark a field as Required field.

On submitting the form, the validation should be carried out and throw an error message if the filed is left blank.

Thanks in advance!

Wake up an frozen / errored workflow

Hello fellow Nintex-ers,

We had a nice old case of a Request-Data task getting stuck which resulted in a frozen workflow. The Tasks status got to "Completed" but the "Outcome" never reached "Continue" and got stuck in "pending". All sorts of information on this bug/problem/issue can be found here:

http://connect.nintex.com/forums/thread/14779.aspx

Now, a colleague of mine doesn't stop till the fat lady sings and managed to set all the stuck "Pending" tasks to "Continue". He also set the Status to "Completed" and the Percentage to "100%" of every task. So task-wise everything is okay. Now, the Nintex Workflow is still showing "task pending" in the workflow status. The Workflow is still showing "In progress" and no error whatsoever has occurred. It actually looks like its waiting on an update of the task. It seems all I really need is the workflow to be "woken up" of some sort to recheck if the Task has passed from "pending" to "Continue".

To make my long story short; Is there a way to reinitiate / wake up / restart / recheck / kick / slap, my workflow in the middle of its progress?

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Cheers, in advance to any response!

Getting attachment from a .msg

Hello

I have an Outlook synced SharePoint library. I'm able to see the .msg items in the library.

I'm trying to extract the attachment from the .msg item. Is there a way to do that without having to use EWS?

Thanks

External Content Type Lookup

My setup:
1 External Content Type List
1 Document Library with workflows that run when a document is added to the library that perform look up against ECT List.

When the workflow successfully completes and all values are updated in columns in the document library, the only column that appears to not be updated default All items view is the ECT column.

A refresh of the ECT column does not solve this issue.  The column data appears when viewing properties of the list item but not on the default view of the doc library.  To get the value to show up in the view, I would have to edit properties of the list item and perform look up and save.

Has anyone experienced this issue?

Thanks,

Compatability with Access Services

$

Hello,

As you may, or may not know, Access Services within MOSS 2010 allows for the creation of Access Web Databases. Tables within an Access Web Database get converted to SharePoint 2010 Lists when published. It is from one of these converted lists I wish to create a Nintex 2010 Workflow; however, I haven't been able to do so. Either the workflows don't start at all or "Failed to Start" with the workflow cancelled by a System Account.

So I am wondering if Access Services and Nintex 2010 are even compatible or if I have an issue with my environment. I know that in order for an Access Web Databases to be created certain functionalities within MOSS 2010 are disabled; for example, creating or editing a standard MOSS 2010 workflow via SharePoint Designer  is disallowed to prevent a user from irreparability damaging SharePoint itself.  So I am wondering that since Nintex 2010 Workflow is so heavily integrated with MOSS 2010 perhaps it’s inheriting some of these Access Services safeguards effectively disabling its functionality?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Lazy approval not working with LYNC

Hi,

We have enabled IM notification and also have enabled lazy approval for IM. But it is not working. The user is able to respond to the initial message but at the end it is giving the below error message

An error was encountered: You are not permitted to respond to this task. Tasks can be delegated via the approve/reject web interface.

We have verified the user's permission toboth to the item and the task list and it is correct. On going through your forum we see lot's of similar error like this one. We have checked the diag logs but wasn't able to find something which will relate directly to the above error message.

Any help will be appreciated.

Requesting more information from requestor where there are multiple approvers

$

I have a workflow where once submitted it checks to see if there are more than one managers associated to the cost centre picked by the requestor. The approvers have the ability to approve or reject. If there is more than one approver, all approvers must approve before the workflow can go to the next step.

I'd like to give approvers the option to request more information from the requestor, but if one approver requests more information the action is considered a decline when the task returns to the requestor. Once the requestor has provided this informtion, it then goes back to all approvers again. This is painful if one of the approvers has already approved. If another approver wants more information, it means the first approver would need to approve again.

Is there a way around this?

switching panels with radio buttons

Hi,

I have followed the tutorial "switching panels using a radio button" and have 2 panels one under the other but would ideally like to overlay them so that they use the same screen real estate. Is this possible in Nintex forms?

Approval workflow creates strange email headers

$

Hi all,

I created a NINTEX 2007 approval workflow, to be honest it´s quite a simple one just sending an email if approved or rejected.

My problem is that the email header of the "approval required" email contains some strange characters. It gives me out the header name that I configured in the approval workflow icon and additionally a sequence of characters like e.g. [#DDDUFDVFDDFD#]

So the complete header in the email might be: Response required [#DDDRFDSFDAFD#]

Where do the cryptic characters in squared brackets come from and how can I deactivate this?

 Many thanks for your help!

Query XML - Retrieve and store data from an InfoPath repeating table

$

Hi All,

I've found and attempted the solution of using the Query XML action and a following For Each action to collect row items from an InfoPath form repeating table, previously suggested by Vadim. I am embarrassed to say I cannot get the process to operate. When I have multiple XPath outputs storing result in the same Collection Variable I get the error that the output has been used more than once.

Does any have, can point me to or could spent a moment compiling an 'idiots guide' on how I could extract the data from an InfoPath repeating table via Nintex workflow 2010? I appreciate the XML will be different, but any guidance would be really appreciated.

Thanks you!
