Displaying user information on start form of workflow.

Hi,

    I am trying to have a start form for a workflow show the current user and other profile information.  We obviously know who the user is, but I cannot find a way to automatically show this information on the start form when it opens.  This seems like it should be very simple, but we cannot find a way to do this.  For example, we want the following to automatically fill in the workflow start form.

 Name: John Doe

Department:  Development

Phone: 888-555-1212

This seems like it should be a simple thing to do, but I have not seen how anywhere.
