Hi,
We are trying to present an option on a list form to have a "Save" button, but not only have the form not kick off a workflow on the list, but also basically have "Save and Continue" functionality. Is it possible to have a button that saves the form content, but not close the form and go back to the list without saving any of the forma data?
I have read other posts where it is suggested that you have the "Save" button change a list column value to something like "Draft" and not kick off the workflow, but this is not exactly what we would like.
The main reason for this is that we appear to be suffering from some session-type timeouts, where if a user does not complete and submit a form within 20-30 minutes and then comes back to the form to finish off, the moment they submit the form, the form appears to refresh and present them with a blank form - losing all their data. The list does not have a new item created. Ideally I would like the form to submit no matter how long it has been sitting idle, but this does not appear to be achievable.
Any thoughts?
Regards,
Mark
