Hi,
I am in the process of breaking down a large workflow into smaller modular workflows. In the effort to minimise my replication work I thought I would use the snippet saving of action sets to allow for the easy import on the new workflow modules. The trouble is that I can save my snippets without issue, but when I try to drag the snippet onto a new workflow nothing happens.
Interestingly, I created a snippet of just three set variable controls and this too doesn't work. In the past I have used snippets without issue. When I inspect the snippet via SharePoint Designer, this three variable control snippet is 641kb. What the? It appears that the snippet saves a huge amount of data from the original workflow, instead of just the pertinent bits. A more expansive snippet, that has a switch control with nine branches - each branch containing a similar three set variable control set as above, is only 685kb. heaps more controls - not a great deal more size.
Is this a bug? Surely it only needs to have references to variables and objects referenced within and the core functionality that is required?
Any ideas?
