I have been looking for an example of using Store Data and Retrieve Data to pass initial data to the Child workflow and then the results using the same method to get results back to the parent. I have read through the thread http://connect.nintex.com/forums/thread/24787.aspx and I seem to be a little dense because this is not making sense to me. I see being able to retrieve data from another workflow instance but I am not sure how the Child can determine the parent workflowinstanceID and therefore is unable to retrieve data. Or the parent would not know the Child instance before it is started therefore storing it there is not feasible if you need to wait for the Child to complete before continuing. Basically I am looking for a function call and I am not able to use custom code so I need more help.. I am such a Noob.. Any ideas though would be great.
Scenario:
I have 26 workflows that use the same process of calling the SharePoint web service to get display names for more personalized notificatons. However, since this uses a account with a password that changes, I would like to make it a "call" from a parent workflow passing the login information needed to acquire the display name.
