I need a workflow that will copy the url of a site (that I used either a different workflow to create or a different step within the same workflow) to a seperate links list . We are utilizing a SharePoint list for project management purposes and using specific values within the list to fire off a workflow that creates a SharePoint project site. The problem I'm having is that I then need the newly created site url (link) to be copied to another sharepoint list. I've been looking through the controls and googling trying to find a solution. How do I get the workflow to copy the url for a new site that is created off values within it's list if : 1.) the site isn't created yet OR 2.) find the site and know it's associated with the specific item and copy the url to the list.
I was also thinking of using a dual action control to get it to copy the link as it creates the site but I had issues with that since the site hadn't been created yet at that step. IWhat am I missing?
Does any of this make sense? You'd think things like this have been encountered before, I'm just not sure how to identify the site and associate with the link/other workflows to have them work together. I'm utilizing Nintex 2010 Enterprise.
