Failed on Start. The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information.

Sorry for all the posts, but I'm running into a lot of problems. One of my workflows was running smoothly until I added a few Run if actions each with a set field value action at the end of the WF and published. Now I get the error "The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information." and the workflow status is changed to "Failed on Start"

 I created a log in history action at the very beginning of the WF to see if it would register, but no luck. It seems none of the actions will run now. I looked at other posts regarding this error, but none are related to the "Failed on Start" status. Any thoughts?

Edit: I removed all the changes I made to the workflow but the issue still persists.
