calculated column in a Sharepoint list

Hello Sharepoint Gurus:

I have created a calculated column in a Sharepoint list(Document Library) which contains a literal and 1 lookup values from other columns. The basic
formula is ="Win000"&[ID]&"P"

When a new items in the list is saved the field shows the value as expected (i.e. "Win0001P"). However every time someone edits and saves any items from the list, the ID portion of the column is reset to "" (i.e. "Win000P").

Furthermore the only way to have the ID value reset to match the ID of the item is to open the list in design view and save it again. If I open the
list and edit the specific column I see that the formula has changed slightly - the [ID] portion is no longer in square brackets: ="Win000"&ID&"P"

Another post suggested that this was caused because the [ID] value needed to be converted to text so I also tried the following variation:
="Win000"&Text([ID],0)&"P"

However this basically results in the same issue except that the ID portion of the column will be 0 instead of "" (Win0000P). Can anyone suggest what I'm doing wrong or any possible solution for this issue?

Thanks and waiting for a quick reponse.

Haresh
